Why QR Codes

The technology

One scan. Authenticity, information and engagement.

Eight reasons SpectraQR codes outperform conventional labels and holograms.

App-less verification with Web App and App Clip

Verification runs on a web app and App Clip technology, so users check authenticity instantly without installing anything. Scanning the code opens the verification experience straight away on the smartphone. Consumers, retailers and points of sale can verify products with zero friction.

Enhanced consumer information

By scanning the QR code, consumers instantly verify the authenticity of their product and access details such as usage instructions, manufacturing origin and more. This transparency builds trust and confidence in every purchase.

Copy-proof product authentication

Secure QR codes integrate into product labels without modifying the production process. Each code contains a microscopic security texture that acts as a digital fingerprint, so it cannot simply be copied or reproduced. At the same time, every code works as a digital license plate, capturing data that verifies authenticity and monitors distribution.

QR copy and phishing monitoring

A real-time service that detects and prevents the reuse of original codes on counterfeit products. Our interactive landing pages are hard for counterfeiters to replicate, and we actively monitor and report phishing sites so they are taken down promptly.

Consumer engagement and promotions

SpectraQR codes are not only about verification. They are a gateway to engagement: brands can offer promotions, run loyalty programs and deliver personalized experiences, creating a stronger connection that drives repeat business.

Track and trace

Tracking capabilities monitor products throughout the supply chain, preventing the distribution of counterfeit goods and confirming that products reach their intended destinations. Brands keep control of their supply chain and protect market share.

GS1 Digital Link standard integration

Our QR codes comply with the international GS1 Digital Link standard, future-proofing your packaging. The transition to 2D barcodes recommended by GS1 improves data encoding and enables advanced use cases such as authentication at retail points-of-sale.

Expiry date verification

Consumers can check the use-by date of their products by scanning the code, so they always use safe and effective items. This protects product quality and customer safety.

Original versus copied QR code

A copy always loses detail

When a counterfeiter duplicates a QR code, the microscopic texture cannot be reproduced. The copy inevitably loses micro-level detail, which lets our system detect the degradation and confirm whether a code is original.

Each code carries a unique digital fingerprint, making large-scale counterfeiting extremely difficult compared with conventional labels that have no security mechanism at all.

Standards

Built on GS1 Digital Link

A single QR resolves to a standard web address that any phone camera and any retail scanner can read. Product identity, batch, serial and authentication travel together in one code.
